A museum full of fantastic ship models displayed on the steam ferry Berkely. Also: full-rigged ship Star of India, replica 1847 revenue cutter Californian (C.W. Lawrence), replica 16th-century ship San Salvador, replica 18th-century 24-gun frigate Surprise, Soviet sub B-39, deep sea sub USS Dolphin, steam yacht Medea, swift boat PCF-816.

Not truly museum ships, these are well-preserved vessels available for ticketed trips and special charters. Many privately-owned traditional boats can usually be viewed at the docks nearby.

Marstal Søfartsmuseum

Exhibits in 4 buildings with more than 30 rooms highlight the rich fishing and shipping tradition of Marstal on the island of Ærø. There are over 200 ship models, several hundred paintings, including Denmark’s largest collection of marine and Greenland painter Carl Rasmussen’s works.
