Philadelphia Ship Preservation Guild

The guild maintains two ships, the barkentine Gazela and the 1902 tug Jupiter. The Gazela can be rented for dockside events. The Jupiter takes part in festivals and boat parades. It may be worth contacting them to see if a visit can be arranged.

H. L. Hunley, CSS

The night of 17 February 1864, the H. L. Hunley attacked and sank the USS Housatonic, the first submarine ever to sink an enemy ship. But she disappeared on her return. Lost at sea for over a century, the Hunley was located in 1995.
