About the Vessel
Willie L. Bennett is a Chesapeake Bay skipjack, a traditional fishing boat used on the Chesapeake Bay for oyster dredging. Skipjacks remain in service due to laws restricting the use of powerboats in the Maryland state oyster fishery.
