About the Vessel
Lackawanna was a 137-foot, steam-powered tug of the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Coal Company.
On 15 Aug 1915, she was struck by the barge Nanticoke, which was being towed by the tug Triton. She sank in minutes with two crew members lost.
