About the Vessel

Hood was the last battlecruiser built for the British Royal Navy. She is most well known for her participation in the Battle of the Denmark Straight, where she and the battleship Prince of Wales engaged the German battleship Bismarck and the heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen. Early on in the battle, Hood was struck by several German shells, exploded, and sank within 3 minutes. All but three of her crew perished.
